.DISCUSSION...
Tropical heat and humidity will remain over central and southeast
IL through Sunday. Heat indices will reach the mid to upper 90s each
afternoon with some areas reaching around 100 degrees Friday and
Saturday afternoon. Isolated showers or thunderstorms will be possible
today especially in eastern IL. An isolated shower or thunderstorm is
possible again Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, mainly northwest of
the IL river. Breezy south winds today will bring good to very good
ventilation rates to the area. Fair to good vent rates are expected
on Wednesday and Thursday as south to southwest winds will not be as
breezy.
