Through 500 pm, numerous showers with isolated embedded stronger thunderstorms will move generally to the east to southeast at 10 to 15 knots throughout the Florida Keys and the adjacent nearshore and offshore coastal waters. Mariners encountering the stronger of the activity, mainly in the Straits of Florida south and east of the Dery Tortugasm can expect blinding downpours, wind gusts of near 25 knots, and occasional cloud to surface lightning strikes. Island communities, mainly in the Lower Keys, can expect up to an additional quarter to one half inch of rainfall. $$
