- Rain chances tonight, greatest rainfall amounts south of
  interstate 80.
- Fog potential tonight into early Friday morning

- Another chance for precipitation Sunday night and Monday

- Temperatures will be above normal this weekend with highs in
  the upper 50s to 60s.

- Cool down after Monday with highs in the upper 30s to 40s

.SHORT TERM /THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT/...

The main concern in the short term will be rain
potential and fog development. As far as precipitation goes, the
greatest confidence in rainfall continues to be across southwest
Nebraska, generally along and south of interstate 80, with lesser
confidence going into the southern Sandhills. Do not expect
precipitation to spread further north then central Sandhills. SoTs
indicates that the greatest potential for abnormal qpf values will
stay south in Kansas, which is more of a southward trend from
previous forecast. As far as qpf values northward into southwest
Nebraska probabilities greater than 50 percent that we could see
half an inch or greater south of I-80 with lesser amounts the
further north you go. There is generally good consensus with
the probability greater than 75 percent of seeing at least a
0.10 along the I-80 corridor.

The next concern will be fog development this evening into the
overnight. Low level moisture and winds will influence an
environment conducive for fog development along the edge of where
the precip shield develops. This could include the I-80 corridor
into portions of Sandhills east into Custer County. Headlines for
fog may be needed tonight into tomorrow morning.

.LONG TERM /SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/...

For this weekend, it will be mostly dry through Sunday
afternoon with WAA on Saturday and Sunday helping to drive
temperatures into the upper 50s to low 60s. This is around 15 to 20
degrees above normal for this time of year. Sunday night a upper
level trof will begin to move eastward into the area and bringing
another chance for widespread precipitation. Temperatures will turn
cooler as a cold front moves into the area Tuesday with highs only
the upper 30s to low 40s which is near normal for this time of year.
As of right now precipitation chances remain low through
Thanksgiving morning.

.AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z FRIDAY/...

Low clouds will linger through the day with MVFR conditions
across portions of western and north central Nebraska, areas of
the far northern Nebraska including KVTN terminal will see VFR
conditions. Cigs will lower tonight with rain chances increase
this evening. Rain will mainly be across southwest Nebraska
including KLBF terminal and will see lower visibilities with
MVFR to IFR conditions possible at times across southwest
Nebraska. Winds will generally remain light out, less than 10
kts, mostly out of the east for a majority of the forecast
period.
