Fire Weather Planning Forecast
National Weather Service Lake Charles LA
408 PM CDT Tue Jun 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...
A long fetch of deep tropical moisture into the region along the
eastern flank of Potential Tropical Cyclone 1 in the southwest
Gulf of Mexico will continue to produce widespread showers and a
few storms across the area today and Wednesday. Torrential
downpours will be possible in some of the showers along with
gusty winds. Rain chances will decrease in central Louisiana
late Wednesday and Thursday with the isolated arrival of slightly
drier airmass, however a more seasonal convective pattern is
expected in south Louisiana and southeast Texas by late in the
week.
