(This afternoon through Saturday)

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: A trough of low pressure will move
northeastward across the Silver State this afternoon into this
evening, before entering the Mountain West tonight. A cyclone
aloft will move southward down the coast of California Monday
through Tuesday. This upper-level area of low pressure will
progress eastward across Southern Nevada Tuesday night. Periods of
precipitation are expected in the majority of Northern and Central
Nevada this afternoon through at least Tuesday night. The majority
of precipitation Monday through Tuesday night will be confined to
Central Nevada. Snow levels will start at around 7,000 feet this
afternoon, before dropping to about 6,000 feet Monday night. Light
snow is expected over passes and summits along Highway 50 Monday
night through Tuesday night. Here are probabilities of rain
amounts of one tenth of an inch or more for select locations in
Northern and Central Nevada from 4 PM PST Sunday, November 16th,
2025 until 4 AM PST Wednesday, November 19th, 2025:

Tonopah - 77%
Winnemucca - 74%
Austin - 70%
Eureka - 68%
Owyhee - 67%
Ely - 64%
Battle Mountain - 64%
Carlin - 62%
Wells - 47%
Elko - 45%

A trough of low pressure will move eastward through the Eastern
Pacific Ocean Wednesday. This trough of low pressure will make
landfall over the west coast of the United States Wednesday night.
The trough of low pressure will weaken as it progresses through
the Silver State Thursday. This trough of low pressure may be
responsible for light precipitation in parts of the service area.
A cooling trend is expected Monday through Thursday. By Thursday
afternoon, high temperatures throughout Northern and Central
Nevada will be around five degrees below normal for this time of
year. A ridge of high pressure will build eastward across the
Silver State Friday and Saturday.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: High forecast confidence
regarding periods of rain in most of the valleys of Northern and
Central Nevada this afternoon through Tuesday night. Moderate
forecast confidence in light snow on passes and summits along
Highway 50 Monday night through Tuesday night. Moderate forecast
confidence regarding a cooling trend Monday through Thursday.

MVFR conditions are likely in and near showers this afternoon and
tonight. VFR conditions will prevail at all terminals Monday
morning into Monday afternoon.
