.DISCUSSION...The leftover and remnant moisture and energy from
former Tropical Storm Mario will continue to move the region through
Friday. Showers and thunderstorms are moving to the west of the land
mass this morning, and there is a low chance of showers and
thunderstorms throughout the day today. Any thunderstorm over or
near the burn area would produce gusty and erratic winds. There is
even higher confidence in rain hitting the burn site on Thursday.
Thursday also carries a fairly high risk of gusty, erratic, and
rapidly changing winds as heavy showers, thunderstorms, and the
core energy moves over the region. By Friday, the activity will
begin to trend down, but additional showers and thunderstorms
remain possible as the moisture lingers over the region. Another
round of tropical moisture and associated shower, thunderstorm, and
wind threats is possible next week Sunday through Monday or
Tuesday.
