.DISCUSSION...

The most impactful threat of rain is behind us. However, scattered
showers will continue across the region through late tonight,
potentially extending into Saturday morning. Although most showers
in the area have been producing light rain within the last few
hours, there is still a low (5%) chance for a brief, heavy downpour.
Northeast winds will continue to impact the forecast point through
Saturday afternoon, although wind speeds will decrease to half of
the forecast wind speeds from around midnight through 7 or 8am.
Winds will increase rapidly after that, topping out a few mph weaker
than today.
