.DISCUSSION...

Forecast below only covers the waters from the Santa Barbara
Channel, northward to the San Luis Obispo County Line (up to Point
Piedras Blancas). Dense fog with visibility of 1 NM or less will
affect the coastal waters during the night through morning hours
tonight, and possible again Sunday night.

Winds are forecast to be a lot calmer than they have been in the
recent past. Tonight into Sunday morning, there is a 40% chance that
winds around the waters from Point Conception to Point Sal may
shift SE around 5 kt, but remain very light, before shifting back to
the typical NW flow. Additionally, winds may be 5 kt higher than
forecast, except for the Sunday forecast for waters north of Point Sal,
where gusts to 25 kt may not occur.

As for seas, swell heights (largely from the NW direction) will
continue to increase through tonight, reaching up to 10-14 feet for
the waters adjacent to the Central Coast, then start to subside mid-
morning on Sunday.

Bouys referenced and used to help form the forecast include 46053,
46054, 46011, and 46028.
