Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure will build to 30.2 inches as it shifts
over the central Great Lakes today, continuing on toward New
England Sunday. Deepening low pressure near 29.4 inches tracks out
of the High Plains Saturday night, spinning northeast towards
northern Manitoba Sunday into Monday as it deepens to 29.0
inches. This low extends a 29.6 inch trough over Lake Superior
Sunday night before weak ridging of 29.9 inches moves over Lake
Superior from the Northern Plains Monday. A low pressure around
29.3 inches looks to move off the Colorado Rockies into the
Northern Plains early next week. The low will track across
northern Minnesota at 29.5 inches Tuesday, reaching James Bay Wednesday
morning. This low will pull a 29.8 inch trough through Lake
Superior Wednesday morning.
