Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
216 PM CDT Mon Jun 17 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions will be present
over Southeast New Mexico today and tomorrow, especially the
Sacramento Foothills and Eddy County Plains, as min RH at or below
critical 15% and lightning starts from isolated thunderstorms
will be possible during the afternoon. Significant moisture return
and possibility of wetting rains Wednesday into Saturday will
lead to low fire weather concerns for the middle of this week into
next weekend.
