blowing/drifting snow, a Winter Weather Advisory will be in
effect today following the end of the Winter Storm Warning.

- Below normal temperatures and a few chances for additional
snow are expected through the coming week.

.SHORT TERM...
Issued 232 AM CST Sun Nov 30 2025

Early this Morning through Tonight:

Light to moderate snow continues early this morning, as the mid
level trough lifts through the region. Transient bands of
heavier snow associated with mid level fgen, as well as pockets
of increased lake enhancement and convergence, will persist for
a few more hours. The bulk of the accumulating snow will end by
6 AM, though some lake enhancement may linger until closer to 9
or so.

Winds will pick up over the next few hours as the surface low
pulls east, becoming rather gusty from the northwest by 7 or 8
AM. Blowing snow will be a concern today, and will likely hinder
clean up efforts on some roadways. Given these impacts, a Winter
Weather Advisory for blowing snow will be in effect for the
entire area starting at 6 AM, after the expiration of the Winter
Storm Warning. This Advisory will be in effect through noon for
locations along and west of the Highway 26 corridor, and until 3
PM for locations east of there.

Skies will partially clear this evening into tonight as high
pressure builds southeastward into the area. This will set the
stage for a cold Monday morning, with lows tonight falling into
the single digits above zero. If skies clear more than expected,
a few spots could dip to around zero.

.LONG TERM...
Issued 232 AM CST Sun Nov 30 2025

Monday through Saturday:

A wnwly flow aloft will prevail for the new week as a large upper
low will reside over Hudson Bay into nrn Quebec, while mean
shortwave troughing will be in the vicinity of the Desert SW with
an upstream upper ridge in the ern Pacific Ocean. Srn WI will be
between or near a series of shortwave troughs in the flow for the
week. The first shortwave trough digging sewd from Canada is
looking more favorable for light snow late Mon into Mon nt,
especially from Madison to Milwaukee and swd. A surface ridge will
then follow on Tue with swly winds developing late in the day.
This is in response to a wave of low pressure that will track from
srn Manitoba to sw Quebec for Tue-Wed. Its trailing Canadian cold
front will then pass Wed afternoon with cold advection and wnwly
sfc winds into Thu. The upper trough passage with the front will
bring chances for light snow. Another approaching sfc trough from
Canada will then bring a return of swly winds and warm advection
for later Thu into Fri and possibly Sat. Weak shortwave trough
passages will bring small chances for light snow during this time.
High temps will range from the upper teens to 20s for the week
with the coldest day on Thu. Lows will range from the single
digits to teens, but below zero temps will be possible Wed nt
inland.

from west to east this afternoon into tonight.

morning will rapidly lift northeastward to Lake Huron by mid to
late morning while deepening to 29.6 inches, and then into Quebec
by tonight. Winds will gradually ease Sunday night into Monday
