.DISCUSSION...
West Atlantic ridge axis will remain near to just north of the area
through late week, and then begin to shift back south across the
area through the weekend. Southeasterly flow around 5-10 mph will
generally prevail through this period, with the east coast sea
breeze being able to push well inland and switching winds to the
east-southeast up to 10-15 mph each afternoon behind this boundary.
This will focus greatest storm coverage across inland areas and the
western side of the Florida peninsula through late this week and
into the weekend. Therefore, highest rain chances up to 50-70
percent will reside across the interior and will be closer to 40-50
percent along the coast each afternoon. Seasonably warm temperatures
will continue each day, with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s and
peak heat indices of 100-105.
No Min RH concerns are forecast, with Generally Good dispersion
values forecast today and Friday.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
