...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN LEE...NORTHEASTERN
SCOTT AND WISE COUNTIES AND THE CITY OF NORTON THROUGH 815 PM EST...

At 732 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Shields, or 10 miles northeast of Harlan, moving east at 60 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Norton, Wise, Big Stone Gap, Coeburn, Appalachia, Nickelsville,
Dungannon, St. Charles, Fort Blackmore, and Pardee.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
