...Discussion from SFOFWFMTR...

Despite slightly cooler temperatures today, persistent breezy to
gusty northerly winds and lower humidity will result in elevated
fire weather conditions. Winds will continue to be strongest along
the immediate coast, north to south oriented valleys, and higher
terrain. Conditions gradually improve early next week as winds ease
and the marine layer returns.

...Discussion from SFOFWFEKA...

Winds are forecast to be weaker today, then strengthen again Sunday
afternoon and last overnight. The strongest west to northwest winds
will most likely during Sunday afternoon and evening. Minimum RH`s
are expected to range between 15 and 30% each afternoon through
early next week, primarily in Lake, Trinity and interior Mendocino
counties. Locally poor RH recoveries around 30% will likely
continue for the next several days over exposed ridges, especially
where winds persist through the night. Recoveries improve slightly
during tonight with RH values expected in the 40 to 60% range for
most of the interior. Potential for fast spreading grass or brush
fires will increase this weekend and continue into Monday in fire
weather zone 264 where fine fuels continue to cure.
