.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A stationary front draped NE from
Saint Simons Island to E of Hatteras Canyon today will remain in
place through Thu night before diminishing on Fri. Low pressure
will form along the front off the SE coast tonight and then move
slowly NE along the front, reaching 40N60W by early Thu morning.
Weak high pressure will build E across the N waters Wed night
into Thu, shifting E of the region Thu night and Fri. A cold
front will approach from the NW late Fri, then move offshore Fri
night. The front will become stationary across the central waters
Sat and Sat night as high pressure builds in from the W across
the northern waters. The NAVTEX transmitter in Chesapeake,
Virginia is offline until further notice. Technicians are aware
of the problem and are working to have it repaired.
