The Inland Northwest will remain under an unstable airmass the next couple days. For today shower and thunderstorm potential will be found across the northern mountains. On Thursday afternoon there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the Cascades. Temperatures will trend warmer and drier Thursday into the weekend with temperatures warming into the upper 80s to mid 90s as an upper level ridge shifts over the northwest. A thermally induced surface pressure trough will set up across the central Washington on Thursday with dry and breezy north to northeast winds across central Washington and Columbia Basin.
