.SHORT TERM /THROUGH THURSDAY/...
Issued at 202 AM MST Wed Nov 19 2025

Currently, upper low was moving onshore over S California. Numerous
showers and a few TSRA were noted wit this system over the greater
Las Vegas region. Additionally. a few high elevation snow showers
were likely occurring over the CO west slope. Over our region quite
a bit of mid level cloudiness was noted streaming in from the SW.

Today...

Weather system to our west will continue to push east. Overall,
another nice seasonable day is anticipated over the region. The only
exception will be over the San Juans where rain and snow showers
will be possible during the day. Over the plains expect passing mid
and high level clouds with temperatures generally in the 60s over
the lower elevations. Over the interior valleys it should be dry
during the daylight horus with temps in the 50s.

Tonight...

Snow moves into the San Juans, with the more steadier snow occurring
well after midnight. One to three inches will be possible by
sunrise, especially over the higher mtn tops. Overall, the precip
will move steadily east during the early AM hours, moving into the
Sangres and possibly the Raton Mesa region by sunrise. Low temps
tonight will be mainly in the 30s plains and 20s mtns and valleys.

.LONG TERM /THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY/...
Issued at 202 AM MST Wed Nov 19 2025

|
Thursday...

The heaviest snow will fall over the San Juans Thursday afternoon
and evening. Overall total amounts will generally be in the 4 to 8
inch category, and winter weather highlights have been issued in
coordination with NWS GJT. This weather system is relatively warm,
so most accums will during the day THU will be above 9000 ft.

Accumulating snow will also fall over the Sangres with this system
and snow advisories have been issued for the higher elevations of
these mtns ranges. Overall amounts will be similar to the San Juans,
with 4-8" anticipated.

Most importantly. MUCH needed precip is going to likely fall over
the plains later Thursday and Thursday evening. Generally 1/3 to
2/3" of rainfall is anticipated, with the heavier amounts occurring
over the far eastern plains.

The first snow flakes of the year will likely fall over N El Paso
county, especially Thursday evening into early Friday, and would
expect to see some light accums over this region. Right now, accums
are less then 1/2" of snow over N El Paso, but I would not be all
that surprised if they get an inch or two over grassy areas.

Over the higher elevations of the Pikes Peak region, snowfall
amounts will be heavier, with 2 to 7" anticipated, and winter
weather highlights may be needed over this region in later fcst
updates.

Precip over the region will end during the day Friday. It will be
cool Friday with highs only in the 50s.

Saturday should be seasonable and dry.

Sunday, and into early next week, another colder weather system come
into the region. At this time there is still a bit of uncertainty
with this system, and it does look like a cooler, but drier, weather
disturbance. Overall, at this time expect unsettled, cool conditions
early next week. With this system being colder, there will be better
chance of snow over lower elevations.

Midweek should be on the cool side of things, with snow showers over
the central mtns with NW mid level wind flow. /Hodanish
