Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
925 AM MDT Wed Jun 19 2024

.Discussion...

It will be much cooler today across the plains as a strong cool
front has moved south of the area. It will be mostly cloudy today
across the lower elevations with scattered showers and a few
thunderstorms. Winds will be light. Over the interior valleys
and along the Continental Divide, temperatures will be seasonable
with a few showers and storms.

The heat will return to all of the region tomorrow and will last
through the remainder of the period. We may see a bit of a
respite in the heat later next week.

Showers and thunderstorms will be mainly confined to the higher
terrain from tomorrow through the weekend. Some locally heavy rain
may occur Thursday and Friday across the higher terrain.

Smoke dispersion this afternoon will be good or better in the
mountains and poor to fair over the plains.

Smoke dispersion will be good or better over all of the district
tomorrow afternoon.
