Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
951 AM MDT Tue Jun 11 2024

.Discussion...

Critical fire weather conditions are not anticipated throughout the
next week. There will be chances of showers and thunderstorms later
this afternoon and through the evening, mainly over the higher
terrain and along the I-25 corridor, with lesser of a chance over
the far eastern plains. Some of the storms could be strong to severe
along and just east of the I-25 corridor. Isolated showers and
thunderstorms may occur on Wednesday afternoon through early
evening, mainly over the higher terrain and I-25 corridor. Thursday
will be drier and much hotter, with some record heat possible over
the plains. There will be increasing chances of precipitation with
widespread showers and thunderstorms likely on Friday, then it will
dry out on Saturday and be slightly cooler. It will remain mostly
dry and warm back up on Sunday through the early part of next week.

Smoke dispersion will be generally Good to Very Good across the
plains and Very Good to Excellent across the higher elevations
today, then become Poor tonight, returning to Good to Very Good
across most of the district tomorrow.
