An extended heat wave builds throughout the week courtesy of high
pressure. Afternoon feels like temperatures this week will reach
into the upper 90s to low 100s in many locations west of the
mountains, resulting in the potential for moderate to major heat-
related impacts.
A cold front approaches from the west by late Sunday into Monday,
with chances for showers and thunderstorms in the forecast with this
feature. Still looks hot to start off next week, but not quite as
hot as this week.
