Compared to the 1991-2020 U.S. Climate Normals, mean temperatures across the NWS Charleston forecast area during October ranged from approximately a degree below normal to two degrees above normal, with the overall trend across the forecast area leaning towards slightly above normal mean temperatures. October precipitation totals generally ranged from an inch below normal to an inch above normal depending on location. This translated to monthly precipitation totals as low as 2 to 3 inches in some areas, while as high as 4 to 5 inches in others. Snowfall during the month of October was confined to the higher mountain elevations and was on the light side, with monthly totals remaining under one inch. No top 10s were set at any of the official NWS Charleston climate locations during October 2025 in terms of mean temperatures, total monthly precipitation, or snowfall.
