836 AGUS76 KRSA 192105 HMDRSA Hydrometeorological Discussion National Weather Service / California Nevada RFC / Sacramento CA 110 PM PST Wed Nov 19 2025 ...LINGERING SHOWERS AND T-STORMS OVER SRN CA TODAY AS A LOW EXITS... ...ADDITIONAL SHOWERS LATER TODAY THROUGH SAT AS ANOTHER LOW MOVES THROUGH, OCCASIONAL T-STORMS POSSIBLE AS WELL... .METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (WED PM - TUE AM)... Scattered showers continue over se CA this afternoon as an upper low slowly moves through srn CA and into AZ. Radar is picking up echos of a precip band offshore of the north coast as the next system approaches behind a transitional ridge. Precip is expected to arrive later this afternoon into the evening spread southeast overnight into the Bay Area/central coast. Forecast overall remains on track for the system to close off into a low tomorrow before traveling south along the coast the rest of the week moving inland through Baja into the weekend. Only minor changes in the QPF. Amounts over srn CA went up by generally 0.10-0.50" since the morning forecast for the rest of today through Saturday. QPF through 00z Sun: 0.75-2" Transverse, 0.50-1.25" coastal soCal from LA county southward, 0.3- 1" north coast/Shasta/Sierra, 0.10-0.50" for the rest of the CA coast and down the valleys. Freezing levels across the Sierra about 7-8.5 kft into tonight before lowering from nw to se on Thursday down to 5.5-7.5 kft. Levels will rise again Friday up to 8-11 kft overnight with this trend continuing throughout the weekend. The area should be back up to 11-12.5 kft by late Sunday.
