Hydrometeorological Discussion
National Weather Service / California Nevada RFC / Sacramento CA

...SCATTERED LIGHT SHOWERS FOR FAR NORTHERN NV TODAY...
...COOLER THAN NORMAL TEMPS WILL RISE ABV AVG BY THE END OF THE
WEEK...

.METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (MON AM - SUN AM)...

A s/wv trof is moving across the Pacific Northwest with the southern
extent of the system clipping far northern CA on it way toward
northern NV today. Radar and gauge data shows light precip falling
across the upper Klamath River basin and now far northern NV with
totals generally remaining less than 0.10-inch. After this system
exits off toward the east this evening...general troffing remains
along the west coast being reinforced by weak disturbances rotating
through the cyclonic flow aloft. This pattern should persist through
the middle of the week...when flow becomes a bit more westerly and
heights rise across the region. Overall...below normal temperatures
today will moderate a bit through the week and then inch above
normal for the weekend into early next week.
