Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Washington
National Weather Service Seattle WA
408 AM PDT Sat Jun 15 2024

.DISCUSSION...An upper trough will move inland this weekend,
maintaining cooler and wetter conditions. Showers and a chance of
thunderstorms (20% to 40%) across all of western Washington today.
Storms could produce locally heavy rain, lightning, small hail, and
gusty and erratic outflow winds. A convergence zone may develop this
afternoon over King and Snohomish counties, which may impact the
Bolt Creek burn scar. Sunday will trend slightly warmer and drier
with another round of showers and thunderstorms (20% chance) mainly
south of the Puget Sound. A slow warming and drying trend will
continue towards the end of next week.

Forecast for 20 foot wind speed (valleys and ridge tops) are 10
 minute averages reflecting RAWS winds.
