Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast

.SYNOPSIS...
An overall cooler and drier trend is expected at Mount Rainier
National Park through much of the next week, though a few weak
disturbances moving across the area may bring some light rain and
snow showers to the park at times. A stronger system may approach
the area by late next week.

.IMPACTS...Strong winds near the summit on Sunday will make it
difficult to move safely and could produce local whiteout
conditions. A high level of skill and experience in alpine
terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and
camping in these conditions.

.SATURDAY...Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of rain and snow late
in the afternoon. Snow level near 3000 feet.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and snow in
the evening, then mostly clear after midnight. Snow level near
3000 feet. Freezing level near 3000 feet after midnight.
.SUNDAY...Sunny. Freezing level near 2000 feet increasing to
5000 feet in the afternoon.
.SUNDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy. Freezing level near 5000 feet
increasing to 6000 feet after midnight.
.MONDAY...Partly sunny. A slight chance of rain and snow in the
afternoon. Snow level near 3500 feet in the afternoon. Freezing
