.SHORT TERM...
(This evening through Sunday)
Issued at 1251 PM CDT Sat Nov 1 2025

Cold front was along an Abilene...San Angelo to Sonora line at 1
PM and will move east through the rest of West Central Texas
through mid afternoon. Brought mention of showers and isolated
thunder in Brown county this afternoon per latest radar.

Showers and thunderstorms in eastern zones should be well east by
this evening. Northeast winds behind cold fronts will weaken
quickly this evening, becoming light and variable. Clear skies and
light wind will allow extra radiational cooling so brought most
areas down to the upper 30s to lower 40s...close to the GFS MOS
and 25 percent NBM temperatures. Temperatures on Sunday rebound
into highs the lower to mid 70s with return of south winds of 5
to 10 mph.

.LONG TERM...

weekend. Temperatures will climb through Wednesday and may
approach the 90 degree mark. Record high in Abilene for Wednesday
is 90 (2007) and San Angelo 91 (also 2007), with the statistical
data showing a low to medium chance of reaching or breaking those
records (20-40%). Morning lows will be in the upper 40s to mid 50s
most days.
