clear skies, with light winds and overnight lows ranging from the
lower 40s across the Big Country, to mainly the mid and upper 30s

.LONG TERM...
(Tuesday through Sunday)
Issued at 1205 AM CST Mon Dec 8 2025

A dry forecast is in store this week, and our area will be under
northwest flow aloft. Warmer and above normal temperatures will
occur Tuesday through Thursday with mostly clear skies. Increased/
breezy south-southwest winds are expected Tuesday with a tightening
pressure gradient and lee surface trough development to our west.
Highs Tuesday will be mostly in the upper 60s to lower 70s with
sunny skies. A weak cold frontal passage is forecast on Wednesday
morning, bringing a brief shift to northeast winds. Highs
Wednesday will be a little cooler across the Big Country with
little change farther south. Thursday highs will be well-above
normal with south- southwest winds and sunny skies. Expect highs
Thursday to be in the mid 70s to near 80 for much of our area.

A stronger cold frontal passage is progged on Friday, and its timing
will be key to how warm temperatures get ahead of it. The forecast
at this time has highs ranging from the lower 60s north to the upper
60s and lower 70s in our far southern counties. A later arrival of
the front could allow temperatures to warm well into the 70s in our
southern counties. Breezy north-northeast winds are expected to
follow the frontal passage Friday into Friday night. Temperatures
will be cooler for our area on Saturday (especially in the Big
Country), with some modification possible on Sunday. Changes in the
upper level pattern are progged next weekend, with the flow aloft
becoming more zonal over our area. Some increase in cloud cover is
indicated in portions of our area on Saturday, but more widespread
on Sunday with increasing low-level moisture.
