.DISCUSSION...
A Saharan Air Layer with a drier airmass will continue to promote
hazy skies today through Tuesday. Generally, fair weather
conditions are expected, however brief shower activity may
develop across the eastern sections of Puerto Rico during the
overnight hours and the northwestern portions of Puerto Rico
during the afternoon hours due to local effects. The KBDI remains
well below critical fire weather values and minimum relative
humidity values should remain above or near threshold levels
across southern areas of mainland PR keeping the fire danger low.
The hot weather, persisting through Tuesday, will tend to dry the
north and south coasts and foothills of the island where little
rain is expected until a tropical wave passes south of the area on
Wednesday.
