.SYNOPSIS...
The weather system that brought area of rain to the area today
will move across the area tonight and exit on Friday evening.
Before it does exit, it will bring another round of showers and
thunderstorms to most of the area tonight into early Friday
morning. Some heavier showers are possible overnight, epsecially
from Chico area northward. Dry and warmer conditions are then
expected for the remainder of the weekend.

.KEY MESSAGES...

*  FRIDAY:

 - Low pressure continues its trek through area tonight into
   Friday morning. It will bring showers and a few thunderstorms
   across the area. Most rain will be done by noon in the valley
   with lingering showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon and
   evening in higher terrain.

* SATURDAY THROUGH TUESDAY:

 - Warming trend begins on Saturday with temperatures returning to
   near normal through mid-next week.

 - Breezy north to east winds expected periodically Saturday
   through Sunday, strongest on Sunday. Overall, wind gusts have
   continued to trend down in the forecast over the weekend.

.AVIATION...

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to
bring areas of MVFR conditions, locally IFR, across interior
NorCal next 24 hours. Surface winds generally remain at or below
12 kts. Periodically breezy southwest to west wind gusts up to 15
kts vicinity Delta. Local north to northwest wind gusts up to 15
kts across the northern Sacramento Valley and northern San Joaquin
Valley after 15z-18z Friday.
