THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Limited. AREA...East of Interstate 49 in Northwest Arkansas. ONSET...Mid Afternoon. DISCUSSION... A thunderstorm or two may develop across portions of northwest and west central Arkansas to the east of Interstate 49 mid to late this afternoon. Coverage is expected to be low, with severe weather and flooding unlikely. A very low chance of localized visibilities under a mile due to fog exists again late tonight for locations near larger bodies of water. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...No Hazards. MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Well above normal temperatures will prevail into next week with only low rain chances on a few days during the period. Low shower and thunderstorm chances will develop across northern and eastern parts of the region at times during the early part of next week. A cold front may move through parts of the region toward the middle of next week, bringing additional chances for showers and thunderstorms to all of the area and leading to cooler temperatures. weather.gov/tulsa contains additional information. $$
