A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms remains this afternoon across mainly west central Arkansas as a weak frontal boundary moves southeast through the region. Precipitation chances taper off late this afternoon with the exiting front. Severe weather is not expected. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...No Hazards. SUNDAY AND MONDAY...High Wind Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Ridge of high pressure is forecast to set up again over the Southern Plains late week through the weekend. In response, southerly winds and above seasonal average temperatures return over the weekend into early next week.
