.DISCUSSION...Mostly clear today with highs in the upper 80s
across most of the region with south central South Dakota seeing
temperatures in the low 90s. Minimum relative humidities will
range from 16 to 30 percent. Winds will be out of the northwest
at 10 to 15 mph gusting to 20 mph across most of the area.
Northwestern South Dakota could see some gusts up to 25 mph this
afternoon.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the low category this
afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fast moving fire is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed
with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored.

The outlook for Thursday afternoon, The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category.
