Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Wichita KS
151 AM CDT Thu Jun 12 2025

Light rain showers spread into southeast Kansas during the late
night hours, as a upper level low pressure system was migrating
slowly northward across Oklahoma. Predawn temperatures were in the
60s with mostly cloudy skies and light southeast winds over
eastern and central Kansas.

The upper level low pressure system will move northward very
slowly from Oklahoma into eastern Kansas today. This will bring
scattered rain showers and storms to the area, however severe
weather is not expected. A few of the stronger storms could
produce sub severe gusty winds and heavy rainfall. Daytime highs
will range from the 70s over eastern sections of Kansas and
Oklahoma, to the warmer 80s and low 90s over western areas of
Nebraska and Kansas.

The upper level low pressure center will continue to drift very
slowly to the east into Missouri tonight with scattered to
numerous showers and storms. Severe weather is not anticipated
with this weather system although some of the storms could
produce periods of heavy rainfall. Overnight lows will range from
the cooler 50s in the Nebraska panhandle, to the upper 60s in
eastern Oklahoma.
