Showers made their way through portions of Kansas and Missouri early
this morning as the rest of the Plains saw partly cloudy skies and
dry conditions. Early morning temperatures ranged from the low 50s
to the 60s from South Dakota to the Red River Valley.

Showers capable of locally heavy rainfall are expected to continue
slowly moving through portions of southeast Kansas and northeast
Oklahoma throughout the day today. Otherwise, the majority of the
Central Plains is anticipated to remain dry today, with afternoon
high temperatures forecast in the middle 70s and low 80s. Light
north winds are expected across large portions of Kansas and
Oklahoma under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies.

Largely quiet weather is expected to prevail across the Heartland
tonight alongside light winds and mostly clear skies. Low
temperatures in the 50s and low 60s are forecast from the Dakotas to
the Red River Valley.
