...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN NEWTON AND ORANGE
COUNTIES THROUGH 130 PM CDT...

At 1255 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Weiss Bluff to near Rose City. Movement was
east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Beaumont, Orange, Vidor, Bridge City, West Orange, Mauriceville, Rose
City, Pine Forest, Lakeview, Pinehurst, Hartburg, Forest Heights, and
Orangefield.

This includes Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 880 and
856, and between mile markers 854 and 853.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
