Clouds blanketed the state overnight, along with lingering light
snow and flurries. Temperatures prior to daybreak ranged from around
5 degrees below zero to the single digits above zero. Brisk
northwest winds continue to yield areas of blowing snow from west
into south central Minnesota, along with wind chill temperatures
from 25 below to 35 below across the west.

A low pressure system at the  upper levels of the atmosphere will
bring lingering light snow today. In the wake of the system, frigid
temperatures and dangerously cold wind chills persist into Tuesday.
