WEATHER SUMMARY FOR MINNESOTA

CLOUDS THICKENED ACROSS MUCH OF THE STATE OVERNIGHT. A FEW SHOWERS
MOVED INTO THE WEST PORTION OF THE STATE AND WERE MOVING RAPIDLY
EAST NORTHEAST.  SOUTHEAST WINDS REMAINED STRONG OVER THE WEST...AND
INCREASED INTO EAST MINNESOTA DURING THE NIGHT.  EARLY MORNING
TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE UPPER 20S NORTHEAST TO AROUND 50 IN THE
SOUTHWEST.

AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER SOUTH DAKOTAS WILL LIFT NORTHEAST AND
WEAKEN DURING THE DAY...BUT A COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP INTO WESTERN
MINNESOTA THIS AFTERNOON.  THIS WILL CONTINUE THE THREAT OF SHOWERS
AND ISOLATED THUNDER ACROSS THE EAST AND SOUTH TODAY.  SOME MORNING
SHOWERS WILL END TO THE NORTHWEST...AND A MIX OF RAIN...SLEET AND
SNOW WILL BE FOUND TO THE NORTHEAST.  THE STRONG WINDS WILL
GRADUALLY DIMINISH THIS MORNING...BUT ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN GUSTY
MOST AREAS INTO THE AFTERNOON.  HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE AROUND
40 NORTHEAST TO AROUND 70 SOUTHWEST.

THE FRONT IS FORECAST TO SAG SOUTH AND EAST OVER THE REGION AND
WILL CONTINUE THE THREAT OF SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TO
THE SOUTH AFTER MIDNIGHT.  CLEARING WILL TAKE HOLD NORTH.  LOWS
TONIGHT ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE IN THE LOWER 30S NORTH TO LOWER 50S
SOUTHEAST.

THE FRONT WILL STALL OVER FAR SOUTHERN MINNESOTA OR NORTHERN IOWA ON
SUNDAY.  THERE WILL STILL BE A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
CLOSE TO THE BOUNDARY MUCH OF OF THE DAY.  SUNSHINE WILL BE
PREVALENT TO THE NORTH.  TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO WARM THROUGH
THE MID 50S NORTHEAST TO THE LOWER 70S SOUTH.

THE RATHER UNSETTLED PATTERN WILL CONTINUE INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK.
THE THREAT OF SHOWERS WILL LINGER IN THE EAST ON MONDAY...WITH
ANOTHER CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARRIVING WEDNESDAY.
TEMPERATURES ARE NOT EXPECTED TO COOL DOWN TOO MUCH...WITH
TEMPERATURES RANGING CLOSE TO OR SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL.
