Weather Summary for Minnesota
National Weather Service Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN
350 AM CDT Fri Aug 18 2017

Clouds moved back into the western portion of the state overnight.
Some showers and isolated thunder affected the far southwest corner.
Early morning temepratures ranged from the mid 40s northeast to the
lower 60s south.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to move across the
state today and exit to the southeast this evening as a low pressure
trough moves across the state. A few of the storms could be strong
to severe...especially to the far south this afternoon. Temperatures
should warm through the 70s statewide.

Saturday looks to be mainly dry after some early morning fog as high
pressure dominates the region. Highs will warm through the 70s to
mid 80s.

The next best chance for more widespread showers and thunderstorms
arrive later Sunday lasting through Monday night as a cold front
makes slow progress across the state.
