.Heavy rainfall over the Colorado Springs area has resulted in
rapid rises of Fountain Creek.  Flows in Fountain Creek will
approach bank full, as the rainfall is leaving the Colorado
Springs area.  Stay away from Fountain Creek as banks may become
unstable with the swift and high flows.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...

Stay away from the banks of rivers and streams. During a flood...
saturated banks can easily break off and fall into potentially
deadly...fast flowing flood water.

Forecast information for
  Fountain Creek At Colorado Springs.
* At  6:46 PM Saturday the stage was 8.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.5 feet.
* No flooding is currently forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near 10.6 feet early this
  evening.
* Impact...At 9.5 feet...Action Stage. Water flows over the Front
  Range Trail under the South Nevada Avenue Bridge. Homeless
  community encampment may be affected..
