Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley
National Weather Service La Crosse WI
753 PM CST Sat Feb 24 2018

A low pressure system has brought snow and freezing rain to the
region this evening, except across eastern Iowa and southern
Wisconsin where temperatures are warm enough for rain. Highs this
afternoon were in the lower to mid 30s.

Snow will continue over northern Iowa, southern and eastern
Minnesota, and western Wisconsin this evening, with a wintry mix
elsewhere. The snow will be heavy at times, with accumulations as
high as 3 to 7 inches from southern Minnesota into western and
central Wisconsin. Lower snow totals and a light glazing of ice will
be possible for areas to the south and east. Precipitation will
quickly move off to the east overnight, with temperatures falling
into the upper teens and 20s by sunrise Sunday morning.

Dry weather along with warming temperatures are expected Sunday
through Tuesday.
