A QUIET WEATHER PATTERN PERSISTED OVER WESTERN KANSAS OVERNIGHT
AS A CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS MIGRATED ACROSS NEBRASKA THROUGH
THIS MORNING. PRE-DAWN LOW TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE MID 50S IN
EASTERN COLORADO TO UPPER 60S AND LOWER 70S IN SOUTH CENTRAL
KANSAS.

UPPER LEVEL RIDGING WILL REMAIN PARKED ACROSS THE SOUTHERN AND
CENTRAL PLAINS THROUGH TONIGHT AS ANOTHER UPPER LEVEL TROUGH MOVES
INTO THE WESTERN UNITED STATES. SURFACE TROUGHING ALONG THE
COLORADO AND KANSAS BORDER WILL DEEPEN ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN
COLORADO THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SUNNY SKIES AND WARMER
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON. THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT
IS A POSSIBILITY ACROSS NORTHERN AND CENTRAL KANSAS. THE PRIMARY
THREAT FROM THESE STORMS WILL BE HAIL AND STRONG THUNDERSTORM WIND
GUSTS. MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES ARE EXPECTED OVERNIGHT.

HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 70S IN
NORTHEASTERN COLORADO TO THE LOWER AND MID 90S IN SOUTHWESTERN
KANSAS. A FEW UPPER 90S ARE NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION IN EXTREME
SOUTHWESTERN KANSAS. LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 50S IN
NORTHEASTERN COLORADO TO THE LOWER 70S IN NORTHERN OKLAHOMA.
