Skies were sunny across western Kansas before some high level
clouds moved through during the afternoon and early evening
hours. High temperatures ranged from the lower and mid 40s in the
snow covered areas of northwestern Kansas to the upper 50s in the
A cold front will move south through most of the Central Plains
tonight and will be through West Texas and most of Oklahoma by early
Sunday afternoon. Surface high pressure will build into the Central
Plains on Sunday. Skies will generally be partly cloudy tonight.
On Sunday, gusty northwest winds can be expected, especially
across Nebraska where winds will be sustained at 30 to 35 mph with
gusts to around 45 mph during the afternoon. Temperatures will be
cooler behind the front with decreasing clouds.
Low temperatures tonight will range from the lower 20s to the
lower 30s. Highs Sunday will range from the mid and upper 30s in
the Central High Plains to the mid and upper 50s from southeastern
Kansas to central Oklahoma.
