Weather Summary for Portions of the Central Plains

Tonight...temperatures will drop into the 50s and low 60s. A few
showers and thunderstorms may develop across southern portions of
the area prior to dawn...but severe weather is not expected. Chances
for rain and storms will gradually increase for late Friday morning
into afternoon. Some of this activity could be strong to marginally
severe with gusty winds...hail...and locally heavy rain. Widespread
cloud cover should keep high temperatures in the 70s.  Saturday and
Sunday will feature warmer and drier conditions with high
temperatures in the 80s. Chances for rain and storms over the
weekend should remain primarily across northern Kansas and far
southern Nebraska.
