TODAY...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ONCE AGAIN MOVED ACROSS MOST OF
WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA DURING THE EARLY AND LATE
AFTERNOON HOURS. SOME OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS...WERE STRONG...AND
PRODUCED SMALL HAIL...GUST WINDS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING...AND
TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS. TWO AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN WAS REPORTED
NEAR THE CITY OF LEMOYNE...WITH JUST UNDER AN INCH BEING SEEN IN
SUTHERLAND. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE MID 50S ACROSS
NORTHWESTERN NEBRASKA WHERE A COLD FRONT WAS POSITIONED EARLY THIS
MORNING...TO THE LOW 70S ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA AND THE
EASTERN SANDHILLS. AS THE COLD FRONT CONTINUED TO MOVE SOUTH
ACROSS THE REGION...BREEZY NORTHERLY WINDS OF 15 TO 30 MILES PER
HOUR...AND GUSTS TO 40 MILES PER HOUR WERE SEEN THIS AFTERNOON.

TONIGHT...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL GRADUALLY END FROM WEST
TO EAST THIS EVENING...GIVING WAY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES. LOW
TEMPERATURES WILL FALL INTO THE UPPER 30S NORTH OF NEBRASKA
HIGHWAY 2...TO THE LOW TO MID 40S POINTS SOUTH OF THIS LINE.
FINALLY THE BRISK NORTHERLY WINDS OBSERVED DURING MUCH OF THE
AFTERNOON HOURS TODAY...WILL DECREASE TO 5 TO 15 MILES PER HOUR
PRIOR TO THE MIDNIGHT HOUR.
