WEATHER SUMMARY FOR PUERTO RICO

VARIABLY CLOUDY...AND HAZY CONDITIONS WERE OBSERVED OVERNIGHT
ACROSS PUERTO RICO. LITTLE TO NO SHOWER ACTIVITY WAS OBSERVED
OVER THE ISLANDS AS DRY AIR AND SAHARAN DUST CONTINUES OVER THE
REGION. THE ONLY SHOWER ACTIVITY OBSERVED WAS OVER THE EASTERN
SECTIONS OF PUERTO RICO AND WERE BRIEF AND LIGHT. THE MINIMUM
COASTAL TEMPERATURES WERE NEAR THE 80S AND THE WINDS WERE AT 5 TO
15 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS.

ANOTHER WARM...HAZY AND BREEZY DAY WITH A FEW CLOUDS AND LITTLE
TO NO SHOWER ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE LOCAL ISLANDS TODAY.
AFTERNOON CONVECTION MAY BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE INTERIOR AND
WESTERN SECTIONS...BUT NO SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL ACTIVITY IS
EXPECTED AT THIS TIME. RELATIVELY DRY AIR IS EXPECTED TO PREVAIL
TODAY WITH THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES NEAR THE 90 DEGREES AND WINDS
AT 15 TO 25 MPH. IN ADDITION...THE DRY AIR AND BREEZY CONDITIONS
WILL ALSO BRING HIGH FIRE DANGER TO THE SOUTH COAST OF PUERTO RICO
WHERE RELATIVE HUMIDITIES AND FUEL MOISTURE WILL BE THE LOWEST.
THEREFORE...A RED FLAG WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED.

ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS...SEAS WILL BE 4 TO 7 FEET THROUGH THE
REST OF THE WEEKEND. EXPECT WINDS BETWEEN 15 AND 20 KNOTS WITH
HIGHER GUSTS. A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT.
