Weather Summary for Puerto Rico
National Weather Service San Juan PR
419 AM AST THU SEP 29 2016
Mostly cloudy skies with frequent passing showers and breezy
conditions prevailed overnight and early this morning across the
local islands. These showers with a few isolated thunderstorms
were associated with the outer bands of Tropical Storm Matthew.
As the Tropical Storm Matthew moves south of the local islands
today...its associated outer bands will continue to affect the
forecast area from time to time. This will continue to result in
squally weather conditions with periods of heavy rainfall and
strong gusty winds. Weather conditions will slowly improve late
tonight with showers mainly focused across the Caribbean waters
and the eastern coastal areas.
Hazardous marine and surf zone conditions are expected, but
particularly across the Caribbean waters and coastlines. Please
refer to the latest coastal waters forecast and marine weather
messages issued by the National Weather Service WFO San Juan PR.
