Patchy dense fog has developed over interior portions of southeast Virginia and northeast North Carolina, mainly from Chesapeake to Suffolk. Visibilities through 8 am will be quite variable, averaging one mile or greater, but locally reduced to one quarter mile or less at times. Conditions are expected to gradually improve after 8 am this morning, with most of the fog expected to have dissipated by 9 am. Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due to the areas of dense fog. Drive at reduced speeds and use low beam headlights only. $$ BROWN
