Fire Weather Planning Forecast for northern Lower Michigan
National Weather Service Gaylord MI
232 PM EDT Fri Apr 26 2024

...Trending Milder into the Weekend...

.DISCUSSION... Very dry airmass ongoing set to moderate with time
through the evening into the overnight from SW to NE as a warm front
moves into the region, bringing a deeper plume of moisture. This will
generally lift dewpoints out of the teens and 20s to the upper 50s and
lower 60s throughout the course of the weekend (with air temperatures
in the 60s and 70s by Saturday). Conditions will continue to be slightly
breezy, with winds gusting up to 25mph at times, but the overall presence
of periods of showers and even some thunder should do enough to mitigate
some of the recurring pre- greenup fire danger through the weekend.
