...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CHILTON AND
NORTHWESTERN COOSA COUNTIES THROUGH 1145 AM CDT...

At 1112 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Gap Of The Mountain, or 7 miles north of Clanton, moving east at 40
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Clanton, Weogufka, Stewartville, Lyle, Mitchell Lake, Dollar, Gap Of
The Mountain, Strickland Crossroads, Bentleyville, Lay Lake Dam,
Unity, Marble Valley, Moriah, Higgins Ferry Park, Lay Lake,
Waxahatchee Creek, Paint Creek, and I 65 Rest Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 PM CDT for central and
east central Alabama.
