At 242 PM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers mostly in Choctaw, Pushmataha, Pittsburg and Latimer
counties in Oklahoma. It was more widespread in southcentral
Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Tulsa area. Movement was to
the east at around 20 mph. The average amount where it rained last
hour was around one tenth of an inch with maximum amounts of one
quarter to one half of an inch. Intensity increased during the last
hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late this afternoon, mostly
cloudy, a chance of showers and thunderstorms with temperatures 70
to 77 degrees and south winds up to 10 mph.
