...High stream flow continues for northern and central Nevada...

Spring-like temperatures have been well above normal the past few
days and this is expected to continue into the weekend. As a
result of the above normal temperatures, accelerated snowmelt is
occurring. This is allowing higher stream flows for any stream or
creek exiting the higher terrain. As the streams and smaller
tributaries empty in the the main-stem rivers, flows here will
continue to rise. No significant flooding is expected at this
time, but above normal flows and swift currents will be
widespread. Some rivers will even reach minor flood stage and may
approach moderate flood stage. Use caution if recreating near or
along these streams as many banks are unstable and could collapse
into the water. With the cold water, hypothermia could occur in a
matter of minutes and swift currents could carry you away or trap
you in debris.

By early next week, temperatures will cool slightly. This will
slow the snowmelt, but above average flows will likely continue.
