...NOAA Weather Radio is broadcasting in degraded mode...

NOAA Weather Radio Transmitter, K X I 52 in McLeansboro Illinois,
broadcasting on a frequency of 162.400 Megahertz, is currently
running in lower power mode.

The coverage area and quality of the broadcast may be reduced or
degraded over the weekend, while the transmitter is broadcasting
at a lower power level.

Weather radio technicians and the telephone company are aware of
the problem and have made corrective repairs. However, it will
likely be early next week until full broadcast strength and
quality can be completely restored.

We apologize for any inconvenience that the limited broadcast
quality from the NOAA Weather radio transmitter in Mcleansboro
Illinois may cause to our listeners.
