Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Skies were sunny to partly sunny across the tri-state region early
this afternoon as thunderstorms developed in central Colorado and
southwestern Kansas. East winds at 10 to 20 mph were observed. At
1 PM MDT (2 PM CDT) temperatures ranged from 68 degrees in
Flagler, Colorado to 77 degrees in Oberlin, Kansas.

OUTLOOK... Chances for thunderstorms continue into the evening
hours. Some of these storms could be severe. Locally heavy
rainfall, damaging winds, hail greater than two inches in
diameter, and strong tornadoes will be possible. Temperatures fall
into the upper 40s to upper 50s overnight.

Showers and thunderstorms continue to be possible into Friday.
Patchy fog is anticipated in the morning. Temperatures will rise
into the low 60s to upper 70s under mostly cloudy skies. Winds
will be north at 10 to 15 mph.
