REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE HIGH PLAINS

OVERCAST SKIES AND LIGHT EAST WINDS WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE 30S
WERE REPORTED ACROSS THE TRI-STATE REGION EARLY THIS MORNING.  LIGHT
RAIN WAS STILL LINGERING OVER PARTS OF WEST CENTRAL KANSAS AS THE
UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RAINFALL WAS NEARLY
STATIONARY OVER SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

OUTLOOK... THE LIGHT RAINFALL WILL END BY MID MORNING AS THE
UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVES EAST AWAY FROM THE REGION.  OTHERWISE
THE LIGHT SOUTH WINDS WILL BECOME BREEZY...WITH GUSTS UP TO 30
MPH...OVER THE WESTERN HALF OF THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON ON THE
BACKSIDE OF A SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE MOVING THROUGH THE PLAINS.  HIGH
TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL BE A FEW DEGREES COOLER THAN
YESTERDAY...WARMING INTO THE UPPER 50S.

TONIGHT THE BREEZY WINDS WILL SPREAD EAST ACROSS THE REST OF
THE REGION FOLLOWING THE SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE EASTWARD.  THE BREEZY
WINDS WILL KEEP LOWS A FEW DEGREES WARMER THAN LAST NIGHT...ONLY
COOLING TO THE MID TO UPPER 30S.
