Low pressure tracks from south of Long Island to the Gulf of Maine
today, bringing snow to the interior and a mixture of rain and snow
to coastal areas - with mainly rain over eastern Long Island and
coastal southeastern Connecticut. Travel will be dangerous today
across interior portions of the Tri-State as a result. Highs today
will be a few degrees below normal.

High pressure builds into the southwest tonight and Thursday, with
decreasing cloud cover tonight, then a mostly sunny sky on Thursday.
Lows tonight and highs on Thursday should be around 5 degrees below
normal.

The high slides to the south of Long Island on Friday. It will
remain mostly sunny, with a westerly breeze helping temperatures to
moderate to near to slightly above normal levels.
