HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN IN CONTROL THROUGH NEXT WEEK...RESULTING
IN DRY WEATHER AND ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES. HIGHS FOR THE
REMAINDER OF THE WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK WILL RANGE FROM THE
MID TO UPPER 80S ACROSS LONG ISLAND AND COASTAL CONNECTICUT TO
AROUND 90 IN NEW YORK CITY...NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY...AND PARTS OF
THE LOWER HUDSON VALLEY. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE TYPICALLY
COOLER INLAND LOCATIONS...OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL STRUGGLE TO FALL
BELOW 70 BEGINNING TONIGHT. HUMIDITY LEVELS WILL ALSO BE ON THE
INCREASE AS HIGH PRESSURE SHIFTS EAST...ALLOWING HIGHER DEW POINT
AIR TO RETURN TO THE REGION.

THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THE DRY FORECAST WILL BE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EARLY EVENING AS A SHORTWAVE TROUGH MAY TOUCH OFF A FEW SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS NORTH AND WEST OF NEW YORK CITY.
