...Lowest Wind Chill or Feels Like Temperatures since January 2015
Expected for Friday Morning...

Polar sourced high pressure will continue to funnel in chilly air
temperatures...the coldest since January 2 2016...throughout Deep
South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley overnight and into Friday
morning. Actual temperatures for the Friday morning commute and
school bus ride will range from 35 to 40 degrees across the
region. Combined with winds ranging from 10 to 20 mph along and
west of Highway 281 and 15 to 30 mph east of Highway 281...it will
feel like 27 to 35 degrees.

These wind chill index values will be the lowest across the region
since January 10 2015...nearly two years.

Overcast skies and a stiff northwest wind continuing at 10 to 15
mph west of Highway 281 and 15 to 20 mph east of Highway 281 late
Friday morning through Friday afternoon will combine with
temperatures only rising into the mid 40s in most areas will

the head where the most heat escapes. Pets should also be brought
in overnight through Friday morning as they may not be acclimated
to the sharply colder conditions. People with space heaters
should test before using to ensure they are in proper working

Temperatures will begin moderating Friday night and
Saturday...though it will remain well below average. Warm weather
is expected to return by Sunday to all areas.
